Temples in Sonargaon

Last time when we went to the Panam City two temples could be seen inside the village. So, we couldn’t see the full structures, only the top of them could be seen. We attempted to reach the temples, but as it was rainy season the fields between Panam City and the temples were full of water. SO, we failed.

This time we planned to pay a visit to Sonargaon and to try again to reach the temples. Yes, his time it is winter so the fields were dry. We could easily find out a way to reach the temples.

We found the nearer temple an ordinary one. But when we reached the other one, we were really amazed finding such a beautiful temple inside the village. The temple was about two feet upper than ground level and there were stairs. There were two doors. One is an ordinary one but the other wooden door had an uncommon design. It was really beautiful!!!

When my friend started climbing the stairs suddenly a woman came out from a near house and started yelling “why are you going up with your sandals??? We say prayers here…” So, we came to know that the temple goes through well maintenance. We found four graves near the temple with nameplates which were more than hundred years old. I was a bit surprised seeing Hindu names in the nameplates because as I knew they don’t bury the dead bodies but burn them. My friend explained may be those were the graves of children as they may not bury a child dead body.

Got some real beautiful photographs this time !
